My name is Vikki Hahn and I am an incurable fabric addict. I originally owned a quilt shop located in historic downtown Cedarburg, Wisconsin for 9 years. It became one of the largest shops in the state offering a vast selection of fabrics and hosting classes for beginners as well as accomplished quilters.

My specialty was creating unique kits for the quilt patterns that I either designed or had chosen from the collections of my favorite designers. I love to choose the fabric for quilts and I favor the earthy tones for country primitive designs. It has been said that I “have an eye for color” and I believe that this is a God given talent that is enhanced by the quality and palettes of fabric companies like Moda, Clothworks, Thimbleberries and others who cater to the independent shops. Each kit always contains a “snippit” sheet identifying the placement of each fabric and then it is wrapped up very uniquely featuring the theme of the project.

Some of my favorite designers are the girls from Joined At The Hip, Whimsicals, Ginger Cookie Co.and Meme’s quilts to name just a few. I particularly like the Fall season because of its’ colors. I like Crows, pumpkins and snowmen on quilts, in pictures or on my clothes! Over the years I have received several stuffed crows to keep my favorite crow, Virgil company.

I closed the Cedarburg shop in April 2005 and opened this virtual shop concentrating on my own designs featuring the kits that made Grand Creations famous among quilters. I hope you visit the site often and feel free to contact me to order special items for you or just to chat.
